Missions
As does our entire Body, our ministry desires the freedom-giving Gospel of Christ reach people of every tribe, tongue and nation, from ours here in the U.S. to the ends of the earth. Women throughout Fourth Church are very active in missions. To find out more about how the church as a whole participates in missions, please see the Missions and Outreach page of our website. The following are some of the unique ways our ministry is participating in world missions:

EPC Faith Focus: Eagle’s Wings
Our denomination’s national women’s ministry partners with World Outreach missionaries in Albania to create a faith-based home for adolescent girls who are at great risk of abuse and human trafficking. Missionary Support:
Women’s Ministries support the work of missionary Istvan Muzsnai and his family. The Muzsnais have been fahttp://www.4thpres.org/uploads/Muzsnais.JPGithfully serving the deaf community in Hungary for many years. Despite being confined to a wheelchair due to MS, he is responsible for the special education at an American Christian school.  In particular, deaf children. His greatest desire is to change the approach toward educating deaf children, using his knowledge and experiences at Gallaudet University here in D.C.  He is preparing a translation of the Bible in sign language according to the standards of Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Dora works full time to help support their family, dropping Istvan off at his school on her way to work and picking him on on her way home, 12 hours later.  She still finds time to lead a monthly Bible study for young mothers, as well as a prayer group and a bi-monthly group for co-dependent women. She is often asked to speak at Christian women's conferences in and outside of Budapest.  Another aspect of their ministry is Christian counseling which alone could be full time.

The Women of Fourth currently support the Muznai's at a level of $2,000/year.

  • God to overcome the obstacles of prejudice, injustice and lack of opportunity that are preventing many of the deaf in Hungary from receiving a solid education
